Gate Markings SS V2 FS9 scenery objects by Sidney Schwartz
sidney.schwartz@comcast.net

Lines painted on the tarmac at the gate to assist the pilot and ground crew in parking that jet. You'll see these at pretty much any large airport. Made in a variety of styles and colors, and based on photos of the real thing. Can be scaled up or down to fit pretty much any size jetliner. Version 2 adds an alternate set of markings with a worn and weathered look. These are standard FS9 scenery objects and can be placed using Instant Scenery or other programs that are able to use FS9 scenery libraries.

Please note: These objects are not completely flat...they have some height to them. This is to avoid the "shimmer" effect you sometimes get with flat objects placed on the ground. For best effect, you should sink the objects into the ground a bit when placing them.

Installation
============
PLEASE NOTE: If you have already installed my Gate Markings version 1, you should remove it before intalling version 2. V1 objects that you have already placed in your FS scenery should not be affected and should still appear once V2 has been installed.

For all users:
1. Unzip files into temporary location.

2. The easiest way to install these objects is to copy Gate Markings SS V2.bgl into your FS9 Addon Scenery/Scenery folder, and all bmp files into your FS9 Addon Scenery/Texture folder. Or, if you are familiar with how FS9 scenery folders work you can put it in any active scenery folder of your choice. No texture files are needed.

For Instant Scenery and EZ-Scenery users:
Also copy Gate Markings SS V2.txt into the same folder as gas pumps ss.bgl. This will provide descriptive names for the objects in the Instant Scenery and EZ-Scenery program.
